How your brand is pronounced in videos
The voice-over says your brand name wrong? Fix it in Motiv: only the voice changes, captions keep the real spelling.
On this page
In short: if the voice-over of a Motiv video says your name wrong (for example "Team4planet" read in the wrong way), you write how it should sound. Motiv redoes only the lines that say it, and remembers it for your next videos.
Fix it from the video
- Open your video in Motiv once it's ready.
- Open the Change a voice-over line block.
- Tap Fix how my brand is pronounced.
- Write the name the way it sounds (for example "Team four planet"). Motiv already suggests a first version.
- Tap Save and redo the line (or Save and redo the … lines). The price is written on the button.
The new MP4 arrives in a few minutes.
Fix it by talking to Leo
The Fix how my brand is pronounced link only shows for a name that may be misread (a digit inside the word, capital-letter initials, a capital letter in the middle). For any other word:
- In Motiv, tap Edit by chatting.
- Tell Leo which word is pronounced wrong and how it should sound.
- Leo records the pronunciation, redoes the lines concerned and tells you how many credits it used.
What changes, what doesn't
- Only the voice changes. Captions and on-screen text keep the real spelling.
- The pronunciation is remembered: your next Motiv videos use it on their own, when the name is spelled the same as in My brand.
- If no line of the video says the name, nothing is redone and nothing is charged: the pronunciation is only remembered.
What it costs
- Remembering a pronunciation: free.
- Each line redone: 1 credit, or 2 credits if the video has captions.
If it doesn't work
- "An edit is already running on this video. Try again in a moment.": wait for the edit to finish.
- "The new voice could not be made. Nothing was charged.": try again a bit later.
- The button stays greyed out: the pronunciation you wrote is the same as the name. Write it differently.
- Not enough credits: Leo tells you. Top up, then ask him again.
